HabitClaw ("HabitClaw," "we," "us," or "our") provides an iPhone app that helps users track habits, reminders, and progress. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
We may collect the following information when you use HabitClaw:
- Account information, such as your email address and password, when you create an account or sign in.
- Habit and app content you choose to create, such as habit names, icons or emoji, colors, schedules, targets, reminder times, completion history, and notes.
- Device-stored data used to operate the app, such as locally cached habit and completion data and widget summary data stored in shared app storage on your device.
- Notification preferences and reminder settings if you enable reminders.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Save, sync, and display your habits and progress.
- Send local reminder notifications that you choose to enable.
- Support core app features, including widgets and on-device caching.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the app.
Where information is stored
HabitClaw stores some information locally on your device to support app performance and offline use. HabitClaw also uses Supabase to support account authentication and cloud syncing of habit data associated with your account.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, HabitClaw can schedule local notifications on your device based on your selected reminder times. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information with service providers that help us operate HabitClaw, such as:
- Supabase, for authentication and cloud data storage/syncing.
- Apple, to deliver the app and support iOS features such as notifications and widgets.
We may also disclose information if required by law or if necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the app.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide HabitClaw and for legitimate business or legal purposes. Information stored locally on your device may remain until you delete the app or remove it from your device. Information stored in backend services may remain until it is deleted from your account or systems, subject to legal or operational requirements.
Your choices
You can:
- Update or remove habit information inside the app.
- Disable notifications in your iPhone settings.
- Stop using the app and delete it from your device.
- Contact us to request account or data deletion, subject to applicable law and verification.
Security
We use reasonable measures intended to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children's privacy
HabitClaw is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the date at the top of this policy and take other appropriate steps as required.
